We started Pedestrian Publishing principally to have control over what we do, free of commercial dictates. <br />Ah, that taste of freedom that money can't buy! And the love that you can't price that goes into producing a book!<br />As your list spells out, there is great value in making a stand for non-money, for the unconventional, the craft, the personal relationships. Shame that most booksellers we come across are losing sight of this. <br />Want to add too that small publishers don't even try to compete with the e-book (as larger ones do): indeed, they demonstrate how books can never be completely replaced by digital media.
